Mr. Ahmad Shariff Hambali is the current Chief Executive of Medical Device Authority (MDA) Malaysia. He joined the Malaysian public service in 1993 as an assistant director attached to the Radiation Health and Safety Unit, Engineering Services Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia, that regulates radiation applications in medicine.

Mr. Ahmad was a member of the core team who pioneered and was very instrumental in the development of the medical device regulatory framework in Malaysia. The regulatory framework, which was based on international standards and best practices, was subsequently gazetted as the Malaysian Medical Device Act in 2012. When MDA was established in 2013, he joined the newly- established regulatory body to lead the Registration, Licensing & Enforcement Division before being appointed as the Chief Executive of MDA in 2018.

Between 2005-2008, Mr. Ahmad was a member of the Asian Harmonization Working Party (AHWP) Secretariat and has been actively involved in the efforts to harmonize the medical device regulatory framework within the Asian region. Currently, he is chairing the MDA-Industry Collaborative Committee (MICC), a forum for collaborative works between MDA and the medical device industry in Malaysia. He is also a member of the Industrial Research Advisory Committee, SIRIM, Malaysia.

Alistair joined ETC (Energy Technology Centre) in April 2015, having previously worked for 2 years at DNV (Germanischer Lloyd) in Hamburg in Germany. Prior to his time in Germany, Alistair spent the previous 29 years at NEL – the UK’s National Engineering Laboratory.

In April 2016 Alistair was appointed as the Lead Assessor for the evaluation of all Test Laboratories wishing to participate in the IEC Renewable Energy Conformity Assessment Scheme – IECRE, in addition he has been assessing Certification Bodies since 2019. To date Alistair has undertaken over 50 Test Laboratory and 15 Certification Body Assessments.

In November 2019 Alistair was appointed Chair of the IECRE System.

Previously Alistair was Chair of the UK national committee on wind turbine standards development – PEL/88 – the UK Shadow Committee of IEC TC 88 from 2012 to 2022 and as Chair of the UK Member Body of IECRE from 2018 to 2022.

Alistair is a member of IEC TC 88, MTI, MT2, MT13 and PT101 under the auspices of the IEC SMB – Standards Management Board.

Alistair’s early career was in the signature assessment of nuclear submarines before moving in to wind energy systems in 1986.

Armen Orujyan, Ph.D., is the Founding CEO of the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST). Dadan Kudiana is the Acting Director General for Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. His directorate responsible in organizing the formulation and implementation of policies related to assistance, business, engineering, work safety, and the environment in the field of electricity. In addition, Dadan experienced in many roles in the area of electricity and energy conservation from 1997.

Dadan is often invited in many events as speaker and delegate in the international meeting related to renewable energy, namely the Vienna Energy Forum, 4th Oleo Speakers Outlook, IECF Palm Oil Role in The Development of Green Energy, dan Developing Clean and Effective Energy Systems in the 21st Century Tokyo, Japan. Moreover, he also actives in building networks in various new and renewable energy communities, including the Indonesian Biodiesel Forum, Board Member for the Indonesian Bioenergy Experts Association and the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society.

Dominique WÜRGES is currently Orange Director of Institutional Relations for Standardisation. He has the responsibility of relationships with international organisations involved in standardisation activities at national and international level (ITU, ETSI, AFNOR, Standardisation committees of MEDEF and French Telecommunications Federation, etc.), and participates therefore in the governance meetings of these organisations. He is active in many issues addressed by SDOs and foras, such as accessibility, Green ICTs, cloud and relations between carriers (billing and charging, roaming issues). He is involved in ITU-T Study Group 3 activities since 1997.He has been appointed vice-chair at WTSA-12.

Dr. Ian Oppermann is the NSW Government’s Chief Data Scientist working within the Department of Customer Service. He is also an Industry Professor at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

Ian has been recognised as a Global Leader in Data and Analytics (Corinium’s Global Top 100 in 2020 and 2022) spanning the domains of government, industry, academia and standards. Ian has an MBA from the University of London and a PhD in Mobile Telecommunications from Sydney University.
Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, a Fellow of the IEEE, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, a Fellow of the Royal Society of NSW, is a Fellow and Immediate Past President of the Australian Computer Society, and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is Chair of Australia’s IEC National Committee and JTC1, the NSW AI Review Committee and the NSW Smart Places Advisory Council.

Ilham A. Habibie is a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Habibie Center ( www.habibiecenter.or.id), a foundation focused on democracy in Indonesia. The Habibie Center examines issues related to democracy, including human rights, the economy, ecology, science, technology and innovation. Ilham is also a co-founder of the International University Liaison Indonesia ( www.iuli.ac.id) and is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation belonging to IULI.

Currently, he leads WANTIKNAS, the national ICT Council of Indonesia as its Chief Executive. This is a government-owned advisory body which has cross sectoral participation ( www.wantiknas.go.id).

His other organisational activities including heading the International Chamber of Commerce Indonesia ( www.iccindonesia.org) and the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneur Association ( www.ismi.id), and head of the Agency for Research and Technology at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( www.kadin.or.id). At the end of 2021, Ilham was elected Vice Chairman of the Institution of Engineers Indonesia ( www.pii.or.id) and as co-Chairman of F20 ( www.foundations-20.org) , a network of more than 70 foundations and philanthropic organisations from G20 countries around the world.

Kaya leads the engagement team at Oxford Net Zero, an interdisciplinary research programme at the University of Oxford. She currently serves as a strategic advisor to the UN-backed Race to Zero campaign and as a technical author on the new Net Zero Guidelines of the International Standard Organization (ISO).

Kaya’s research on politically unlikely renewable energy coalitions earned her a distinction at Oxford and her current research is on the emerging net zero policy landscape. With 15 years of experience in social and environmental sustainability, she works regularly with organizations to improve their climate governance.

Lucia Andalucia is the Director General of Pharmacy and Medical Devices at the Indonesian Ministry of Health as well as the Acting Director for Health Policy. She previously served as Director for Standardization of Drug, Narcotic, Psychotropic, Precursor, and Addictive Substance at the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority. Dr. L. Rizka Andalucia holds a Doctoral of Biomedical and Medicine degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia.

Manish Pant is the Zone President for East Asia and Japan at Schneider Electric based in Singapore. He is responsible for the commercial operations across 14 markets including South-East Asia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Mongolia, driving business performance and transformation.

Manish has been with Schneider Electric for more than 24 years and has worked in both operations and strategic roles. Prior to his current role, he was Executive Vice-President, Home and Distribution Division in Schneider Electric. This Division is focused on bringing solutions to the Residential and Small Business customers from Schneider Electric, through its network of Channel Partners namely Distributors and Electricians. He was also leading the company’s E-Commerce channel.

Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Manish served as Managing Director of Luminous , a subsidiary of Schneider Electric in India, as Managing Director. He also assumed the Country President position in Thailand and took on the responsibility as General Manager of JV companies in the energy management sector in China. Manish started his career in Larsen & Toubro Ltd India, spending six years leading Sales and Marketing.

Massamba also oversees the support to enhanced climate action by the financial sector, as well as increased access to low-cost finance for clean investment in developing countries. Active in ISO/TC 207, he co-chaired the development of ISO 14097 for assessing and reporting climate risks for investments and financing activities.
His international work also includes blockchain applications, distributed ledger technology (DLT) use cases for climate and sustainability action, and a new greenhouse gas accounting system for cities, using DLT.

Massamba Thioye is a graduate process engineer with a doctorate in energy systems. He has worked for the United Nations for 13 years leading the development of regulations for assessing climate action impacts, incentive mechanisms for climate and sustainability action, and a framework for enhancing the use of innovation to support climate and sustainability actions. He recently initiated the UN Climate Change Global Innovation Hub and is leading the work as project executive.

Neil Sahota (萨冠军) is an IBM Master Inventor, United Nations (UN) Artificial Intelligence (AI) subject matter expert, and Professor at UC Irvine.

With 20+ years of business experience, Neil works to inspire clients and business partners to foster innovation and develop next generation products/solutions powered by AI. Neil’s work experience spans multiple industries including legal services, healthcare, life sciences, retail, travel and transportation, energy and utilities, automotive, telecommunications, media/communication, and government. Moreover, he is one of the few people selected for IBM’s Corporate Service Corps leadership program that pairs leaders with NGOs to perform community-driven economic development projects.

In addition, Neil partners with entrepreneurs to define their products, establish their target markets, and structure their companies. He is a member of several investor groups like the Tech Coast Angels and assists startups with investor funding. Neil also serves as a judge in various startup competitions and mentor in several incubator/accelerator programs.

Peter Williams is Oracle’s Executive Director, Healthcare Industry for Japan and Asia-Pacific, helping healthcare organisations use technology and data to gain insights that can drive business transformation and digital evolution. Prior to joining Oracle he held senior health ICT roles in national and state governments in Australia implementing clinical and business systems.

Peter is a both a Certified Health Informatician and a CPA and is a Foundation Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health. He is a member and past chair of Standards Australia’s technical committee on Health Informatics, IT-014 and is a member of several Working Groups of ISO’s Health Informatics technical committee, TC215, where he is also co-convenor of ISO TC215 Task Force 5 on Standards for Artificial Intelligence in Health Informatics

She graduated from the Beijing University of posts and telecommunications in 2007 and holds a master’s degree in computer science. She has been working in the field of green and low carbon ICT for more than 10 years. Currently, she is the Vice Chief Engineer of China Telecommunication Technology Labs (systems) in the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT). Her focuses include fundamental Research, prospective study and standardization work in sustainable development and carbon Neutrality.

She is also Vice-Chair of ITU-T Study Group 5; Chair of the ITU-T Study Group 5 Asia pacific regional group; and also Chair of Working Group 1 / Technical Committee 4(Power and environment for ICT) in China Communication Standardization Association (CCSA). She is also very active in IEC TC22 and IEC SyC LVDC.

She developed around 20 Recommendations as a chief editor in ITU such as ITU-T L.1210, ITU-T L.1380, ITU-T L.1381 series Recommendation on smart energy. Moreover, she is also very active in Chinese domestic standardization activities and developed more than 20 Chinese standards including National standards, industrial standard and regional standards. She has got first prize scientific rewards from the China Institute of Communications and first prize scientific reward from CCSA.

Shan is the head of WHO Collaborating Centre for Digital Health, a senior engineer of the Digital Health Department of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT).
She is the vice-chair of ITU&WHO Artificial Intelligence for Health focus group(FG-AI4H), co-chair of the Ad-hoc group of the digital technologies on COVID health emergency (AHG-DT4ER), and was elected in the roster of WHO digital health expert, WHO Smart Vaccination Certificate (SVC) working group, and cybersecurity working group of the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF).
She is acknowledged as one of the top-performers in the understanding of digital health and Artificial Intelligence for Health in China. Experienced in international and regional digital health strategy and implementation, she aims to facilitate an enabling environment for digital health development including standards settings, knowledge generation and experience sharing on the governance, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of digital health.

Scott A. Colburn is the Director of the Standards and Conformity Assessment Program at the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health. In this role, Scott is responsible for the Center’s standards recognition and related development activities in 600+ national and international consensus standards committees. In addition, Scott oversees the program’s new Accreditation Scheme for Conformity Assessment (ASCA) Pilot program and the Center’s efforts to optimize standards for regulatory use within the International Medical Device Regulators Forum.

Scott has served in numerous roles in the area of premarket review and voluntary consensus standards development and implementation for medical devices. He is a member of many national and international standards organizations and serves on several policy and leadership committees.

Tai Yeap Wai is General Manager, Southeast Asia, Electrical Sector, at Eaton, a leading global power management company.

Based in Singapore, Wai is responsible for driving the growth of the company’s electrical business in the region. He oversees the overall sales and business development strategy to strengthen Eaton’s market presence, drive strategic partnerships, and deliver customer value.

Wai has over 20 years of senior leadership and industry experience in P&L management, sales and business development, regional expansion in electrification and digital solutions markets.

Prior to Eaton, he was at ABB Group as Head of Business Area, Electrification Singapore, where he led the transformation of the Singapore business towards a channels and segments-based focus organization to better serve their customers. His last role was Regional Head of Data Center Solution Sales for Asia Pacific. There, he managed strategic partnership and key accounts with global, regional hyperscale, colocation customers and regional consultants.

Vimal Mahendru has over thirty years of electrical industry experience in manufacturing, marketing, international operations, strategy, and governance. Through 7+ years on the IEC Standardization Management Board (SMB), and various leadership roles and assignments, Vimal has gained a high level of expertise in cross-cultural management, consensus building, and IEC systems and processes.

Vimal’s proven strengths include excellent communication skills, a wide experience of leading diverse groups inside and outside of IEC, and passion for sustainability in every sense. He has excelled in working with a wide range of people and has experience in leading initiatives while also inspiring others.

As IEC Special Envoy for UN SDGs, Vimal is a leading advocate for sustainability and the achievement of UN SDGs through effective use of technologies and international consensus standards.

In 2022, Vimal has been recognized with the prestigious IEC Lord Kelvin Award, for his distinguished service to global standards and conformity assessment development.

Vita is the Deputy Director of Policy for Southeast Asia in Women’s World Banking. Women’s World Banking is a non-profit organization dedicated towards women economic empowerment through financial inclusion to the one-billion women in the world without access to formal financial services.

Vita has 13-year experience working in both private and public sector, including state owned bank and UN agency. Prior to leading Women’s World Banking’s advocacy work in Southeast Asia, Vita was a partnership manager in the UN agency under the Executive Office of UN Secretary General network.
